Rules for Application

  • Applicants must be current BHS students, members of the club/organization that is applying for the grant

  • Maximum Grant Amount: $300/application

  • Student groups/activities whose primary focus is fundraising to support a particular cause should implement fundraising ideas of their own, which PTSO Student Grants may supplement

  • Student groups that must pay large fees to participate in conferences or competitions should also fundraise on their own or seek out sponsorships to help cover their costs

  • Applicants who have applied in the past should demonstrate growth and improvement from the previous year (in their efforts to build membership, fundraise, and/or provide learning and leadership opportunities)

  • Groups may apply more than once, but each one is judged separately. Acceptance for the grant in one year does not guarantee acceptance for future years

  • Grant monies are disbursed as reimbursements. Students/groups who receive grants will need to provide receipts documenting approved expenditures

Selection Process

A select group of finalists will advance to the second round of the grant application where they will present to a review committee consisting of student representatives and PTSO board members.
